Connect Google Calendar to Tirza
Tirza books appointments straight into your Google Calendar. You see them immediately on your phone, laptop or smartwatch. Here's how to connect her.
What you need
- A Google account (gmail.com or your own Google Workspace address)
- The calendar Tirza should book in (for example your work calendar, not your birthdays calendar)
Step 1 โ Open the connect screen
Log in to your dashboard. See the "Connect your calendar" banner up top? Click it.
Can't see it? Go to Settings โ Calendar โ click the big blue button Connect Google Calendar.
Step 2 โ Sign in with Google
A new tab opens with the familiar Google sign-in screen. Sign in with the account whose calendar you want to use.
Step 3 โ Give permission
Google asks whether Tirza can access your calendar. You'll see a list:
- View your appointments (to check free time)
- Create and edit appointments (to book)
Click Allow / Continue.
Step 4 โ Pick which calendar
Back on your dashboard you see a list of your Google calendars. Pick the one Tirza should book in.
Only have one? It's already selected.
Step 5 โ Set opening hours
Tell Tirza when you work. For example: Mon/Wed/Fri 9am-5pm, Tue/Thu 10am-7pm. Tirza only books inside these hours. You can also set lunch breaks and regular days off.
Done!
Tirza is now connected to your calendar. Do a test call from the dashboard straight away to try it out.
Access revoked? Here's how to restore it
Sometimes you'll get an email or text: "Tirza has lost access to your calendar for a moment." That happens when:
- You've changed your Google password
- You've accidentally revoked access in your Google settings
- Google has temporarily locked your account
What Tirza does in the meantime: every caller gets a friendly callback request ("I'll ring you back today to set a time"). So you don't lose a client โ only the direct booking is paused.
Restoring:
- Log in to your dashboard
- You'll see an orange banner up top: "Reconnect calendar"
- Click it and go through steps 2-4 again
Takes about 30 seconds.
I don't use Google Calendar
No problem โ Tirza can confirm every booking by SMS instead. Tirza captures the appointment preference + caller details and texts you the options. You reply with "yes" or propose another time, and Tirza messages the caller back. Pick the "Confirm by SMS" option in the wizard.
If you want a digital calendar later, we'll suggest the easiest one for your situation.
Problems?
"Google says: this app isn't verified" That can happen on some older Google Workspace settings. Click Advanced โ Go to Tirza (unsafe). It's safe โ Google flags small European apps like this sometimes.
"I don't see my calendar in the list" Check you're signed in with the right Google account. Click your profile picture top right to switch.
Stuck? Email hello@tirza.ai with your Google email address and we'll look with you.
